Over the years in my IT career, I spent quite some time learning and growing my own (leadership) skills. Along the way, I've made plenty of mistakes and I'm sure there will be more. Trying something new, making a mistake and learning from our mistakes is the only way we can grow as humans. Now, helping others develop themselves, find their passions and reach more of their potential is something I truly enjoy.
Are you looking for that next step in your career? Do you feel you're holding yourself back? Does it feel like you keep going round in the same vicious circle? Can I help you break through?
In a typical coaching engagement we work together towards a goal set by you. An engagement would include:
- An Introduction session
where we get to know each other and discuss your coaching goal;
- 6-10 (online) coaching sessions of an hour
where we gradually work towards your goal.
P.S. I'll provide my coaching in Dutch or English, according to your preference.
My journey to become a certified coach
To me, it's really important that if I go out there to help others such as yourself, I do it to the best of my abilities. As I am coaching internationally, I have chosen to pursue certification with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) - see below. What I really like about their program is how they combine theoretical knowledge, practice learning and supervised coaching. They focus not just on the theoretical background behind coaching have a strong focus on learning by doing.
Intention is one of the few providers in the Netherlands of a full ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) in a program which they have been running for over 10 years. In 2020, I started their 1-year program, which I'll complete by November 2021. As part of the first level of accreditation (ACC - the Associate Certified Coach), I will also need to provide at least 100 hours of (paid) coaching.
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of trained coaching professionals. The ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Ethics & Privacy
Trust is a key component of a coaching relationship. The ICF has established a Code of Ethics, which you can review online. I'm fully committed to this code. Plus, even though coaching under Dutch law is not legally bound to professional confidentiality, I will not share your personal data or the contents of our discussions with anyone.
